Lane Change Assist
- When a JaegerCANtrol© module is used, a separate checking module is not required as this module performs the checking function.
- With a JaegerCANtrol or Jaegertronic module the warning for a faulty trailer bulb is similar to the system used by the vehicle. The frequency of the turn signal increases.
Blind Spot Information Systems
Many vehicle manufacturers are now incorporating blind spot monitoring in their vehicles. Sensors in the vehicle detect whether there is a vehicle in your blind spot. The system will warn you with a visual warning in the mirror and also with an audible warning.
The problem of course is when you tow a trailer your total vehicle length has increased. If the system does not know you are towing it might falsely indicate that it is safe to change lanes.
For example the Ford Blind Spot Information System (BLIS®) that is available on many Ford models provide just such a function.
Our CAN-bus Ford Kuga, Mondeo, Focus,Transit and Ranger wiring systems communicates with the vehicles on-board computer and informs it that there is a trailer attached to the vehicle. It then switches off the BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System) system and provides a warning on the dash display that the system has been deactivated due a trailer being present.
We also have similar CAN-bus solutions for BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Skoda and Volkswagen models. We also have analogue switching systems that integrate and operate in conjunction with factory provided switching functions as provided by brands such as Subaru and Mazda.
Aftermarket bypass systems that tries to hide the trailer from the vehicle are unable to provide this level of integration.

Where a JaegerCANtrol© module is used, no additional controllers or modules are required as the checking function is controlled by the JaegerCANtrol module.
